As much as the relationship between siblings usually last for a life time, there are some cases whereby the relationship title is a figure head and the siblings are not close. Have you ever taken time to wonder why you and your sister are not too close? Sometimes little things often cause rift between family and friends and if those things are not well sorted out it might lead to an everlasting distance.

Here are few reasons why you are not probably close to your sister.


You have different value/interest: Having different values and interest might be the reason why you are not so close to your siblings. Probably what you find joy in is not what your sister find joy and fun in. Having different views about things might cause distance between the both of you. Where you will love to go and catch fun is not where she will catch hers. What she appreciates is not what you will look at. This might be the reason why you are not close to her.


Age gap: In the case whereby there a long age gap, this is also another reason why you are not probably close to your sister. When there is a big age gap between you guys then you can’t think alike, what she is probably facing might be greater than yours, you might not be able to reason on the same level with her and this might cause distance between the both of you.


Distance: The distance you both share is another good reason why you aren’t close to her. If the both of you are living miles apart it might cause you both to experience distance in the relationship you both share. Living miles away and in the situation where by the both of you are busy in your life attainment, this might also be the reason the both of you are not close.


You both don’t see reason to sort out issues: Holding on to grudges is another reason why both of you are not close. In the case whereby you don’t see reason to sort out issues you both had is another reason both of you are not close but if you try as much as possible to sort out every issues, you both might have a great sibling’s relationship.


Constant disagreement: Constant disagreement between siblings can cause distance, in the case that you are trying to avoid any possible misunderstanding you guys might be driving apart and before you know it both of you might be very much apart. Ensure to always settle dispute instantly, avoiding to do so might be the reason you both are not close.


Not showing care when needed: In the case whereby you don’t show much care and love to your sister, she might not see any reason to be close to you. Not taking note of the special days in her life might be the reason you both are so apart today. Doing some small things for her can straighten the bond you both share, such as recognizing her birthday and saying happy birthday sister with so much love and recognizing every important day of their life. This might be the reason why you are not so close.
